Communication- The Key to Success (Part 1)

Having the skill to communicate effectively in business is a must. There have been so many business's that have been stunted in growth due to communication failure. Communication is not just talking but it is also conveying a message through your body language. I'll only discuss verbal communication in this post. So, why is communication so important to your business? When we communicate properly it opens the door for us to build genuine, authentic, and positive relationships with other people.
In this picture, the speaker is communicating to her audience but is she communicating effectively. There are specific characteristics that you must have in an effort to effectively communicate in business. Here are a few beneficial qualities to develop. 1) A positive attitude and genuine regard for others 2) A honest, authentic exchange of self 3) openness and willingness to share about self 4) A mild sense of humor 5) An understanding and capable skill for interpreting a shared meaning or point of view Developing these characteristics will not happen overnight.
